So, we finally hung the curtains in the bedroom. They look great! We have also mananged to accomplish a few more things that have been meaning to get done for some time now. For example, the planters that have been sitting on the front porch for six months completely empty. I finally broke down and went to the Nursery and got some plants they told me where hard to kill. We'll see!! They said all I need to do is water 3 times a week, feed every 3-4 months and don't let them get a frost! Sounds easy!! The picture of the China cabinet is something we got at a garage sale. WE LOVE GARAGE SALES!!! I have to say that we have got some really good stuff at garage sales and flea markets! The china cabinet also has a buffet that matches. We got both for $150! The buffet is pretty beat up so I think we are going to try to re-sale that one at our next garage sale. We have a garage sale at least 3-4 times a year. Our last one we made $475.oo!! My husband is the master of SALES!! I've also pictured our old couch that we've had since we got married ( it was mom's). This couch and love seat have just been recovered!! The love seat was a garage sale find that we only paid $50.00 for! Now they are both brand new. They are going out in the sunroom!! Hope you like the update. Many more things to do so I've got to go!! Just so you know for future blogs, I am the worst speller in history! And I'm horrible with grammar. Most of the time I laugh about it and say "we'll, I'm really good at alot of other things like COOKING"!!

Where do I begin?
Well, I was the first in the family to get a blog but the last in the family to actually use it. Mainly due to the fact that for the past ten months our life has been crazy. This is because we have been remodeling our house since late January. I know your wondering why did it take so long but when you are doing all the work yourself, running your own business and your husband has a full time job it just takes that long. Plus Jason and I are both perfectionist but in different ways. Now we are finally in our house but there is still many things to do, such as finish the sun room that runs along the back of the house and decorate....the WHOLE house. I swear its taken us 1 week and 2 days just to figure out where the furniture will go in the den, how could I hang something on the wall? I know it will all come together, it will just take MORE time. I'm having church supper club at my house sometime in November so I've got to start what I've been avoiding. I need to just stay up all night one night but most days I'm just too tired!! I'm sure many of you that have kids are thinking "you don't know tired" , I think the same thing myself. You Mom's do it GREAT! There are so many other things besides our house that have consumed our last few months. I'll tell you about those things later. Our social life has completely gone down the tube. I can't remember the last time we did something with friends. Jason and I love to entertain and have parties, it kind of our ministry, being hospitable to those we love. I have to say that since I've moved here ( 3 years ago) Lauren and I have hosted some fabulous parties. Jason and Jeff always help and of course, fork over the money to host things such as a cocktail party for 40 people with a sit down dinner. We both can't wait until the house is done and we can celebrate with our friends and family. We love this house and thank God for his blessings!! I pray that our home will honor God and it will be a place of refuge for Jason and myself! And if you need a place to hang out, come on over!!! I'm posting some pics of the house, some are showing you the true madness we are living in. ENJOY!
