My finest moment...in baking

I am still in shock that I actually created both of these cakes. I have to say that it took many, many hours of planning and hard work, but as you can see it paid off. Both cakes were beautiful and tasted heavenly. I'm so proud!!! I've made a lot of cakes in my short life but never have I made 2 cakes this big for one day!! The wedding was soooo fun and we had the best time. Me and Jason stayed till about 11:30, then went to a local place with some of our cousins. This is probably the most beautiful wedding I have been to and also one of the funnest. I'll post pictures of the other wedding stuff later. I just had to get these cakes on here!!

Ok, so I'm a bad blogger

Yes, it's for sure. I am not a good blogger. I have had the best intentions of course, but just have not done it. I actually tried to do a Thanksgiving blog but the pictures where all crazy so I gave up. Maybe I'll try again later. Lauren, I need your help! Many of you know me well enough to know that I tend to get overwhelmed sometimes. Even if it is just one thing that is overwhelming I am paralyzed and cannot focus on anything except obsessing over the one thing that has me so stressed. Well, right now that thing is a Wedding cake and Groom's cake for 500 +. I have spent the last two days baking non stop. 3- 16 inch round cakes, 3- 12 inch round cakes, 3- 8 inch round cakes, 3- 6 inch round cakes, 2- 16 inch square cakes, 2- 12 inch square cakes and 2- 8 inch square cakes. THAT'S A LOT OF CAKE!!! 18 cakes total. I have gone through about 20 lbs of butter, about 100 eggs, about 20 lbs of sugar, and about 30 or more lbs of flour. This has me a little overwhelmed! The work is 1/2 done, now I just have to get to Meridian, MS with the cakes and decorate and put them together!! I know this will be fun, its just I want everything to be perfect!! Which nothing is life is but lets get as close as we can, right!! Seriously, please pray that everything goes nice and smooth!!! LUCY
