First off, my dear sweet husband has been out of town all week and will return home Friday night around 7:00 or 8:00! He hates traveling so it's not fun for him and I have to say I've missed him greatly and with the week I've had I'm really ready for him to come home. So let me tell you what has been going on.
Monday was a pretty average day, I really accomplished nothing around the house. I sort of took a vacation day!! It was fun but I felt guilty of course the next day.
Tuesday was pretty good! I did some things around the house that morning and around 2:00 I started cooking for the catered meals I had that night. At about 4:30 Lauren and her bunch stopped by to pick up some food they had ordered. Mary Fuller came in the kitchen and said that the puppy (yes, that's right, 3 weeks ago I brought home a new puppy) was "wet". I immediately knew that she has tee-teed somewhere. I walk around the house looking on the floor thinking "no big deal" then, as I walk in the den I see a puddle on the left cushion of one of my brand new couches and then see that there is tee-tee tracked all the way to the other side of the couch. I RIP the slip covers off the cushions and go into panic mode. I'm so mad at this point I can't think. Did I mention that I was trying to leave to deliver some food right as this all occurs. I put the slip covers off to the side and dealt with them when I got home. Thankfully, they are fine but the DOG at this point is only allowed on the couch when I am also on it.
Wednesday I'm doing odd end things around the house. Jason calls me and reminds me that some men will be coming by to work on the vinyl siding on the back of our house where are sun room is. This room has about 13 double pane windows that are 55 inches wide. During all the work we have been doing on our house 2 windows have had to be replaced. I was worried about something else happening! It did! While the men were working a 3rd window broke into a million pieces. Luckily it is tempered so it has not fallen yet. The man who broke it and the other men working did not speak English. Of course I call Jason and tell him what has happened. I left the room for the remainder of the time the men were working in fear that a 4Th window would be broken. I really had to go away and pray that God would help me not loose control and that the windows would be fine. No more were broken, thank the Lord.
THURSDAY! For the past few days my new puppy has been eating her poop. I know this is disgusting and believe me I'm totally grossed out by it. I'mcringing as I write. I've been a little concerned about it but I've only caught her doing it about 3 times. Well, as we are laying on the couch tonight, the dog jumps off and I begin to smell something horrible. I jump up off the couch and see a pile of something on the rug, then I step in a pile of something on the rug. I rip the blanket from the couch to make sure there is nothing on the couch. I did not see anything on it. Of course I begin cleaning up. I'm not sure if its throw-up or poop. It really doesn't matter because both are bad. I think my rug it ruined but thankfully it was a bargain find that I paid less than $100.00 dollars for, but still I'm sick over what has happened. After I clean up as best I can I pick up the blanket on the couch and see something in the blanket and yes there is a small amount of disgust on the COUCH!! At this point I'm laughing!
Its Friday morning and the men are back working on the vinyl siding. I will stay out until they finish!
I know that these things are really pretty stupid and in the big picture they don't matter at all. I think God is trying to tell me that he is in control of every little aspect of my life. Maybe today and in the future when things don't go as planned I'll be able to say thanks to the Lord for being in control of everything in my life. Even my windows, rugs and couches!!

God teaches me the "you are not in control, I AM" lesson more often than I lkie to admit! It is a hard lesson to learn ( I am a control freak), but I am slowly getting it!
Have a great turkey day!!1
