Lauren's Belated Birthday Post

OK......so, my older sister Lauren's Birthday was last Thursday. As many of you know I have a catering business and Thursday is one of my cooking nights. I think I had 8 or 10 meals that night, I really can't remember now, but anyway. Me and some girls ( and Jeff, Lauren's Husband) were planning a little surprise Girls night at my house with just her best friends....one of which was unable to attend due to a family vacation, you know who you are!!! So basically that day I had to cook dinner for about 12 people including me and Jason.....go to Lunch with Mom and Lauren for her birthday....clean up the kitchen which is always a wreck after catering anything.....make a special birthday cake for the Surprise Party that night, which by the way flopped and we had to go buy a TCBY cake but Lauren loves that so it worked out....maintain my cover so I did not blow the surprise......and write a special birthday post to surprise my sister and let her know how much I love and appreciate here......SO, with all that said ...I did not fit everything in and thus the belated birthday girl post....

So............Lauren, I cannot begin to tell you how important you are in my life. We have been through a lot together over the years. I'm sure the first thing that comes to you is the things that have happened in our life because of our parents divorce.........not only have we had continued struggles with this but we are who we are today because of it. We both agree that it was the best thing that every happened to our family........what would we do without DAD and JEANIE. I love our multiple daily phone conversations about EVERYTHING going on in our life. I'm so blessed to live about 2 miles down the street from you and watch you be a wonderful mom and wife. You are truly an example of a gentle and quiet spirit..........which is probably what I admire about you most.......and what I can learn from MOST. Thank you for being such a wonderful sister and friend for my 27 1/2 years!!!!! I cannot imagine where I would be today with you!! I PRAISE THE LORD for YOU, MY SISTER!!!

I'm sorry that this has been a bit of a tear jerker (at least for me). I just want my sister to know how special she is. If only Jeanie would move here with her future husband......it would be pretty close to a perfect world!

p.s. I could have gone crazy with the pictures but after I ripped 4 out of my albums I decided to stop. If you would like to see hundreds more please stop by for coffee and have a look!!!! It would give you a good laugh!!

Why do I even bother to check your blog anymore? I am tired of looking at the 80s pics. Get to writing, my friend.
